Streamlined Communications…Email’s Silver Bullet
Communication is my number one job responsibility here as an Account Manager at Fat Atom. My responsibility is to communicate client desires to my team as well as feedback from my team to clients. This back and forth translates into a lot of emails, phone calls, meetings and, unique to Fat Atom, Dashboard posts.
Clients at Fat Atom Marketing have their own Dashboards. A Dashboard is a shared web space where we store files, send updates, post reports and communicate in general. The best thing about the Dashboard is that it is a shared space. I can post something for a client, like an advertising design, and the client can immediately provide feedback for my entire team to review. It saves us from multiple little emails with tweaks and comments and simply streamlines communication for both my team and the client.
The latest feature to the Dashboard has been the ability for Fat Atom clients to “Make A Post” when before only my team could. This feature has allowed clients to post questions, ideas and feedback throughout the month helping to better focus communication to this one place where all eyes can see and make comments. The Dashboard also makes record keeping easy as things are archived monthly and I post important email communication there.
It basically overrules email. A future hope for Fat Atom is to make email as “non-existent” as possible and post everything on the Dashboard. Now, with the ability for clients to make posts we are one step closer and all are enjoying the fruits of streamlined communications!
